
received his S.B. ('90), S.M. ('92) and Ph.D. ('96) in Electrical Engineering from MIT, and was a founding member of CADEX, a compiler technology company. From '96-'98, he was a research scientist at Lockheed Martin, where as part of the Advanced Systems Division at Sanders, he was responsible for the development of algorithms and systems for high-speed, real-time underwater acoustic data commutations, as well as wireless communications, sonar and LIDAR signal processing for a variety of Army and Navy programs. Since '98, he is a faculty member in the ECE Department at UIUC, where he is currently an Associate Professor with research interests in advanced digital communication algorithms, statistical signal processing, adaptive filtering and machine learning and nonlinear dynamics and solitons.
